You are the sole survivor of a plane crashlanded in the desert (see prior questions) with 8 days of supplies, a paper map, and the stars. What direction do you seek civilization?

• North, towards the sea where there are many settlements, 8 days' journey away.~
• West, to try to meet with a caravan that may or may not be there when you arrive in 3 days.~
• East, to a settlement 7 days away, across wide, sweeping sand dunes.~
• South, deeper into the desert, in search of the legendary "Atlantis of the Sands", a lost city you read about in a magazine in a dentist's office.~
• Stay put, light flares at night, and conserve your supplies. Doing so will mean you can stretch your supplies to 11 days instead of 8, but you are reliant on someone finding you.~
