East, to a settlement 7 days away, across wide, sweeping sand dunes.1
South, deeper into the desert, in search of the legendary "Atlantis of the Sands", a lost city you read about in a magazine in a dentist's office.1
Stay put, light flares at night, and conserve your supplies. Doing so will mean you can stretch your supplies to 11 days instead of 8, but you are reliant on someone finding you.
