When washing dishes or loading the dishwasher, do you put the knives point down or point up?

• Point down, because the risk of injuring myself when reaching around for other dishes is too great.9
• Point down, so the knife blade doesn't accidentally touch something else / gets better cleaned in the dishwasher.
• Point up, to avoid dulling the point of the knife.2
• Point up, so the water doesn't collect on the blade and cause it to rust.1
• I do it differently depending on if it's the dishwasher or the dish strainer.2
